Mann visits village to fulfil man’s last wish

Faridkot: Suicide by Jagroop Singh (45), a fruit and vegetable trader of Sibian village in Faridkot, on Wednesday night had AAP workers on their toes for more than 20 hours. The deceased had in his “suicide note” wished that Bhagwant Mann should attend his cremation.

Suicide by Jagroop Singh (45), a fruit and vegetable trader of Sibian village in Faridkot, on Wednesday night had AAP workers on their toes for more than 20 hours. The deceased had in his “suicide note” wished that Bhagwant Mann should attend his cremation. 

Mann could not make it owing to his election schedule. However, he  reached the village this evening. He assured the bereaved famliy that his party would make all efforts to help them. Jagroop reportedly committed suicide because of the setback to his business post-demonetisation. He was unable to pay even the licence fee to the Market Committee, Kotkapura. An employee of the committee, Tarlochan Singh, has been booked for driving Jagroop to suicide. The police claimed Jagroop took his life by consuming poison.
