Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said the Haryana Government will leave no stone unturned for the uplift and development of women in the state.

He was addressing the gathering as the chief guest on the second day of the women’s training camp, being organised under the aegis of the BJP women cell, at GVM Girls College here today.

The CM said the Centre and the state were working dedicatedly for the uplift of the women and several important schemes had been launched in this regard. “Even the participation of women in the governance system is being increased. Around 33% reservation has been given to women in politics and steps have also been taken to give 50% representation in panchayats, but the court has stayed the matter,” he added.

Khattar further said more women would be included in the polls on the basis of an odd-even formula. “PM Narender Modi has also opened a way for women to join the Army and has formed a special commission for them. Steps are also being taken to give priority in providing employment to women.”
