Wife, in-laws booked for man’s murder in Fatehabad village

A 32-year-old man has been allegedly beaten up to death by his wife and in-laws in Nurki Ahli village of Fatehabad district on Sunday evening. The police have registered a case of murder under Section 302 of the IPC against the victims’s wife and her family members and started investigation.

The victim, identified as Nishant, a resident of Hisar, had tied the knot with Anita after their love affair about a year ago. The family of his wife opposed the marriage. The victim’s brother Prince had lodged a complaint that Anita had gone back to her parents about four months ago.

He alleged that the accused hatched a conspiracy and called Nishant to a wedding in Fatehabad on October 24 and later took him to Nurki Ahli village. He said the next day he got the information about his brother’s death and alleged that Anita, her parents Makkan and Nishu, brother Jony, uncle Balbir and cousins Goldi, Bittu, Anil and Surender besides, eight to 10 unknown persons murdered his brother. A police spokesperson said they were investigating the matter.
