Kurukshetra, August 2

Satnam Singh, father of the forward player of India’s women’s hockey team, Navjot Kaur, switched off his TV at his home here to calm himself down in the last few minutes of the match against Australia.

Satnam Singh said, “It was an intense match and my heartbeat started to increase. To calm myself down, I switched off the television set. The way the girls played bravely against the strong Australian team was commendable.” — TNS
