Venod Sharma denies joining saffron party

Chandigarh, March 28

Former Union Minister and president of the Haryana Jan Chetna Party(HJCP) Venod Sharma today denied reports of his joining the BJP.

In a statement issued here, Sharma termed the reports as “baseless”, adding that his party had been working and would continue to work for the welfare of the people.

Sharma’s wife and HJP candidate Shakti Rani Sharma was recently elected Mayor of Ambala City, defeating the BJP and the Congress candidates.
