Palwal, March 4

Leaders and workers of the Congress and AAP district units held a meeting here today and resolved to work hard to ensure the victory of the INDI Alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha poll.

Former minister and Congress senior leader Karan Singh Dalal said both parties had been unanimous on working together, but the decision on contesting the poll as part of the alliance would prove instrumental in ensuring victory of the joint candidates.

Claiming that activists and workers of both parties had already begun working at the grassroots level, he said the today’s meeting was held to chalk out details of the strategy required to make the campaign a success.

Charging the ruling BJP-JJP government of failure on all fronts, Dalal said the people in the region had been fed up with the alleged misrule due to corruption, rising unemployment and non-fulfilment of the promises made prior to last elections. He said there was no dissension among the leaders and workers regarding the selection of the candidate for the Faridabad Lok Sabha seat.

AAP district president Charan Singh said the workers of both parties were ready to do their best to ensure the ouster of the present government, which, he said, had failed to come up to the expectations of the masses. He said both parties would work according to the strategy being chalked out to make the alliance a success.

Congress leaders, including Mohammad Israel, Jagjit Sharma, Devesh Chaudhary, Om Prakash Baghel, Dinesh Sharma Katesara, SK Sharma, Anil Goyal and Mahendra Chugh, besides Sanjay Mangla of AAP were present on the occasion.
