Sewerage blocked in Sonepat colony

Show comments

I reside in ward-13, Sikka Colony, Sher Wali Gali, near Gujaria Hospital, Sonepat. The sewerage here has been choked for the past 3 to 4 months. The sewage flows all over the street, emits foul smell and provides mosquitoes a place to breed. People are not able to move around because of the stink. The town council authorities have not taken step to improve the system so far. This problem has been brought to the notice of the authorities concerned several times through the press and other means but nothing has been done. Ankush, Sonepat

CM’s men should work with team spirit

On the completion of 100 days of his second term, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had claimed that they had announced a big project in the state every day. Declarations of the government’s claims have been made but it is yet to be seen how much change it will bring to the lives of the people. Team Manohar is working well in the state, but team spirit should also be seen. If there is no team spirit, then the performance of the team won’t be good. All the members of the Cabinet should show that they are committed to the development of the state and do public service with team spirit. This will send a positive message to the public and will strengthen their confidence in the government. The government will benefit from this as well. The image of all ministers, including the Chief Minister, will also improve.

Slip road at ITI Chowk needed

The ITI chowk is the busiest crossing on the NH-44 in Karnal. Anyone coming from Kunjpura road and approaching NH-44 for going to Delhi side always gets stuck in heavy traffic from convent school to ITI chowk. This is due to the fact that there is no slip road for approaching NH-44 from Kunjpura side. The situation is pathetic especially during school timings as 3-4 schools are situated on this road. The NHAI should look into it and construct a slip road. Rajiv Anand, Karnal
