Couple ends life by suicide

Hisar: An elderly couple living in a dhani allegedly ended their life by consuming some poisonous substance. The deceased were identified as Amar Lal (84) and Sona Devi (80). Their bodies were found in the fields near Saniyana village of Fatehabad district. The reasons behind suicide is not yet known. TNS

5 held for theft, snatching

Gurugram: The Gurugram police have nabbed five persons for theft and snatching in separate cases. Bunty (40), Vinod (35) and Golu (22), all of Rajasthan, were held for theft. In another case, two snatchers, Mohan (24) and Anit (27), both natives of Shamli in UP, were arrested for snatching. OC

Cotton unit gutted in Panipat

Panipat: Major fire broke out in a cotton factory near Dahar village here today. Labourers working at Vansh International Cotton were the first ones to notice it. They tried to douse the flames, but to no avail. No loss of life was reported.
