In a major breakthrough, the district police, in a joint operation with the Special Cell of Delhi Police and Special Task Force (STF), Haryana, today managed to arrest two suspects in the killings of INLD state chief Nafe Singh Rathi and his close aide Jai Kishan, at Barahi level crossing in Bahadurgarh town, on February 25.

The accused, identified as Ashish and Sachin, alias Sourav of Nangloi (Delhi), were nabbed in Goa and believed to be associated with the notorious Kapil Sangwan, alias Nandu gang. They reached Goa via Gujarat and Maharashtra after parking their i20 car outside the Rewari railway station. They boarded a train from Rewari to Ahmedabad, said Waseem Akram, SP, STF.

Jhajjar SP Arpit Jain informed, “Two others — Atul of Delhi and Deepak Sangwan alias Nakul of Narnaul — are still at large. Sachin’s father is a vegetable seller and he is a ninth pass. He is already an accused in two cases of loot and one of Arms Act, while Ashish has been booked in a case of manhandling. Both were produced before a local court, which awarded an eight-day police remand.”
