The police reunited two missing minor children, including a girl, with their families under ‘Operation Smile’. SI Manish said the police had received information about a nine-year-old girl who was found near Rajpura canal in the cold on Saturday evening. A team, led by SI Sri Niwas, was constituted and brought the girl to the police station safely and gave her food and warm clothes.

The girl said her name was Lakshmi. The police launched a search operation on social media and other platforms to search the girl’s parents. The police team found the girl’s family — father Yogesh Goel, mother Annu, brother Sachin, grandmother Rajwanti of Bhind in Madhya Pradesh — who were living in the Nathupura village. The police handed over the missing girl to her parents.
