Narwana: Poles on main Canal Road a nuisance

On a mere 500-metre stretch of the main Canal Road, which runs from Jind Road to PWD (B&R) office in Narwana, there is a continuous row of electric poles on both sides, which presents an ugly challenge before commuters. Some of the poles are surplus, with no wires on them. The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) should remove the redundant poles at the earliest.

Faridabad residential sectors in civic mess

The lack of a proper garbage disposal system has left a majority of the residential sectors in Greater Faridabad in a civic mess. Residents who had invested their hard-earned money to purchase plots and flats in these sectors are feeling cheated as the promised facilities are yet to materialise. Trees being axed illegally

Residents of housing colonies in the town are axing trees without obtaining permission from the authorities concerned. The administration should keep a close watch on such activities and initiate action against those who fell trees.

Monkeys creating ruckus

Residents of Rohtak are a harried lot due to the monkey menace. Not only do they damage the electricity wires by jumping and walking over them, they also tear the garments on clotheslines on the rooftop.
