Rewari, February 14

The state administrative authorities have instructed Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in Mahendragarh, Gurugram and Nuh districts to facilitate an adequate number of buses, vehicles etc., in consultation with the DC, Rewari, for the foundation laying ceremony of the AIIMS project at Majra village here on February 16.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation of the project on that day and people from all three districts, besides Rewari, are expected to participate in it.

“Significantly, the district authorities of the remaining 18 districts have also been instructed to organise such programmes in each Assembly segment so that people can watch live telecast of the PM’’’’s function. The authorities have been asked to install LEDs of appropriate size at the programme venue. The programme will be broadcast live from Rewari,” said sources.

Confirming the instructions, the DC of one of the three districts said the vehicles would be made available for the beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

Sources said these programmes at the Assembly level would be chaired by MPs, MLAs and other dignitaries. New beneficiaries of social security pensions would also be invited at such functions and some people can be given the pension letter on the dais. Local leaders will be able to address the gathering on the occasion.

“The programme venues at the Assembly level will be decided after consulting the district president of the BJP,” the sources added.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh today inspected the preparations of the foundation-laying ceremony and claimed that the project would prove a milestone in boosting the healthcare infrastructure in the region.

“Besides Haryana, people of neighbouring Rajasthan state will be benefited from the AIIMS as it will provide ultramodern healthcare facilities. Adequate arrangements are being made for the programme,” he added.
