Panel to be set up in 5 weeks: Haryana to High Court

More than nine months after the term of the state committee for regulating admission and fee in private technical institutions came to an end, the High Court asked Haryana to constitute the panel. A five-week deadline was set for the purpose.

The direction on the basis of an undertaking given by the state before the Division Bench of Justice Rajiv Sharma and Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj came during the hearing of a petition by Tinku and others against Haryana and other respondents.

The Bench observed the state committee for regulating admission and fee in private technical institutions was constituted by the state vide a notification dated December 13, 2016, but its term expired on December 14, 2019.
