Panchkula road in bad shape

Show comments

The road connecting Amravati Enclave to the DLF Valley in Panchkula is in a pathetic condition. Residents are suffering a lot due to this. I request the PWD Minister to look into the matter, so the residents can get better road infrastructure.

Need to curb noise pollution

Noise pollution is so omnipresent in today's society that we often fail to notice it anymore. It's quite harmful and can have adverse effects such as hypertension, hearing loss, sleep disturbances, child development and higher blood pressure, etc on humans and other living beings. The WHO has fixed 45 decibels as the safe noise level for a city, whereas most of the metropolitan areas in India usually register an average of more than 90 decibels. It is suggested that to start with, the authorities should at least impose a blanket ban on the use of automobile horns and loudspeakers in places of worship to rid the city of noise pollution.

Demand to open varsities, colleges

I am a student of BSc (Agriculture) in Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Our course is mostly based on practicals. I request the government to open the universities and colleges, which are closed for the last six months. We are attending lectures online, but there are a lot of queries regarding practical knowledge. Vivek Lohan, Hisar

Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
