Gurugram: One arrested for online fraud

Gurugram, March 6

The Nuh police last night arrested a man on the charge of duping people online. A mobile phone and three SIM cards were recovered from him.

Vimal Kumar, SHO, Cyber Crime police station, said the suspect, identified as Aakib Javed of Sakras village, was arrested from Shikrawa village.

“The suspect had created fake Facebook and WhatsApp accounts with fake mobile numbers to dupe people in the name of buying old metal coins and old notes. He used to cheat on the people online by depositing advance money in fake bank accounts,” he said.
