NIT student gets job placement

Bhiwani: Kumud Shandilya, a Bhiwani resident, has been offered an annual package of Rs 51 lakh by software company Microsoft during the campus placement drive at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Kurukshetra. Her father Praveen Sharma informed that Kumud is in the final year of her BTech from NIT, Kurukshetra, and she will get the placement on completion of her degree.

Change in farm varsity timings

Hisar: Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University will change its timetable from August 1. Now, the offices will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm from August 1 with lunch break from 1 pm to 20 pm. Registrar Dr SK Mahta informed that the same time table would be applicable at all Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Regional Research Centres and Agricultural College, Kaul (Kaithal) and Agricultural College, Bawal (Rewari) located across the state of the university.

HAU Entrance examination held

Hisar: The Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) conducted the entrance examination for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Sunday. Vice- Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj said a total of 4,150 candidates appeared for examination at seven centres. He informed that the result of the entrance examination would be uploaded on the web portal of the university and the candidates needed to keep a tab on the university's website admissions.hau.ac.in and hau.ac.in for the latest information regarding admission.

Tributes paid to educationist

Yamunanagar: A meeting to pay tributes was held on the first death anniversary of Bhupinder Singh Jauhar, founder of Guru Nanak Khalsa Educational Institutions and multinational company Jamna Auto Industries. On the occasion, a recitation of Shri Sukhmani Sahib was also organised at Gurdwara Sahib of Guru Nanak Khalsa College.

KU Notification for admission

Kurukshetra: The directorate of distance education of Kurukshetra University has issued notification for admission in the July, 2022 session for students who want to take admission to various programmes in the directorate of distance education (DEE), KU. Applicants can apply both online and offline till August 31 in various programmes of the directorate. At the same time, applications can be sent till August 16 for MBA, MCA and BEd programmes, informed Prof Som Nath Sachdeva, Vice-Chancellor of Kurukshetra University.

4 pupils get jobs in placement drive

Jhajjar: Four students of the State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education (SIASTE), here, have been selected for jobs during a placement drive organised on the campus. Rajwanti, incharge, placement cell, said Shridha Maurya, Kajal Sisodiya, Chhavi Saini and Ashwin were selected by Podar International School, Maharashtra.
