Nisha Solanki is Haryana's first drone pilot

Hisar: Nisha Solanki, an MTech student at the Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, has become the first certified drone pilot of the state. Nisha has successfully completed the training of a Directorate General of Civil Aviation Accredited Drone Operator. University Vice-Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj congratulated Nisha on her achievement.

MDU gets nod for four new courses

Rohtak: The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has granted approval to University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) to introduce four new courses from the new academic session. The new courses include BTech (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), MTech (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), MTech (Power Systems) and MTech (Structural Engineering). Admission to BTech courses would be conducted by the Haryana Society for Technical Education (HSTE), while to MTech courses would be conducted by the university.

Plantation drive at G’gram varsity

Gurugram: As part of the environmental protection campaign, a mass plantation drive was organised at the new campus of Gurugram University in Sector 87, Kankrola village, under the joint aegis of the university and NGO Hamara Parivar. University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dinesh Kumar, teachers and members of the NGO participated in the campaign and planted over 1,000 saplings. The participants also took an oath to protect the environment.

Ambala student clears KVPY exam

Ambala: Aditya Kumar, a Class XII student of science stream at Bhartiya Public School, Ambala Cantonment, brought laurels to his school by clearing the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) examination. He has secured AIR 561. KVPY is a scholarship programme funded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India. The aim of the programme is to encourage students to take up careers in research in the areas of basic sciences. The chairman of the school, AD Gandhi, and Principal Munish Jain congratulated Aditya.
