Panipat: The police have booked four persons for allegedly duping a man of Rs 23.60 lakh on the promise of sending him to Australia. Deepak of Madlauda said he came in contact with Dilbagh, who told him that his son Aamin is in Australia. According to the complainant, Dilbagh told him that his son was sent to Australia by Vikramdeep Malik, a visa consultant in Kharar. Deepak said he met Vikramdeep in January 2023 and a deal was finalised for Rs 23 lakh for sending him to Australia. He said he gave them Rs 20.60 lakh, but they sent him to Dubai. He accused Amin and Vikramdeep of taking USD 3,500 from him after beating him up. However, he managed to return to India in August 2023. A case under Sections 420, 406 and 34 of the IPC has been registered against Dilbagh, his two sons Irfan and Amin and Vikramdeep.
