Jind medical college to be ready in 3 yrs: Dy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala today said a medical college and hospital having 750 beds would be set up Jind district at a cost of Rs 532 crore.

Interacting with mediapersons in Jind, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that the first block of the medical college is expected to be completed within a year and a half.

He said the medical college would not only provide medical and healthcare facilities to the area, but generate employment opportunities for the local population as well.

The hospital would be fully functional in three years, he said. He said the government had chalked out a plan to set up high-class infrastructure in Jind, which was neglected by the Congress government.

Responding to allegations of a paddy scam in the state, he stated that Congress leaders had been levelling false allegations and there was no such scam.

“There is less than 1 per cent difference in stock with millers after physical verification. We are ready to get another verification done if demanded. There are no irregularities in the paddy stock. We will ensure similar arrangements during procurement of wheat during the rabi season,” he stated.

Hailing the announcement in the Union Budget about developing Rakhigarhi as an iconic site, he said it was a big step towards putting Rohtak, Jind and Hisar districts on the tourism map.
