Sonepat, February 14

Following the confrontation between farmers and the police at the Shambhu border in Ambala, the Delhi Police have banned the traffic movement via Singhu border and also dug up internal village roads.

The police barricaded a 600 m area on the flyover as well as on service roads with six layers of barricades. They have also installed CCTV cameras on poles.

Singhu border was sealed yesterday. Taking a serious view of village routes, the police have also dug up internal roads at Kundli village to stop the entry of vehicles to the Capital. The Saboli-Narela road has also been closed and the traffic has been diverted through the KGP and KMP expressways.

Three companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in Sonepat while 12 companies have been deployed in Singhu area of Delhi.
