A court today sentenced a Hisar man to seven-year imprisonment after holding him guilty in an ATM card snatching case.

It also slapped a total penalty of Rs 30,000 on Sanjay Kumar of Hazampura village.

The Narnaul City Police had filed a case against Sanjay and two of his accomplices on the complaint of Vikas Dindhwal two years ago.

Vikas said three youths were present at an ATM booth when he entered it to withdraw money on September 24, 2019.

Vikas said: “One youth asked me to give the ATM card to withdraw money. I gave my card to him who passed it to another youth.

“The boy used a small machine and swiped my ATM card on it. I tried to take back my card, but the trio manhandled me and fled from the spot with my ATM card. —TNS
