Haryana govt school tudents to get fixed amount for textbooks

Chandigarh, June 15

Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar has said students of government schools up to Class VIII would be provided with a fixed amount for purchasing textbooks.

He told this to the media after the Cabinet meeting here today.

“As the tendering process for textbooks was taking long, the state government decided to give money to students. Besides, students studying in senior classes have been asked to give their textbooks to their juniors,” the minister added.
