Gurugram, March 2

The Haryana Police will host the third Young Superintendents of Police Conference and Police Expo-2020 on March 5 and 6 at Apparel House, Sector 44, Gurugram.

The expo will be kicked off by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval. CM Manohar Lal Khattar and officials from the MHA, CAPF and intelligence agencies will take part in it.

The conference will be held in collaboration with the Bureau of Police Research and Development, which is mandated to create an interface between technology developers (industry, academia and technical institutions) and representatives of law enforcement agencies. The state police have also roped in the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry for bringing the industry together for organisingan exhibition along with demonstration of latest technologies/gadgets related to police modernisation.

The conference traces its origins to a resolution of DsGP/IsGP Conference 2016, which suggests that young officers should train junior colleagues on the use and application of latest technologies and techniques in investigation and prevention of crime.

“All preparations have been completed for the event. The two-day event focuses on new-age solutions for effective and efficient policing with a view to creating awareness among various stakeholders,” said Chander Mohan, DCP (east). —OC
