Gurugram, July 15

“We promised transparency and we have been able fulfil that promise. Our policy of no tolerance to corruption saved Rs 1,200 crore to the state. Today, the benefits of various public welfare policies are reaching the last man standing in line,” claimed Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today. He was speaking at the BJP’s three-day convention at Suraj Kund.

During the previous regimes, one had to resort to the parchi-kharchi system to get government jobs, but our government has ended that system. Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister

The CM said the BJP regime had put an end to the kharchi-parchi system in government recruitments. Eligible candidates were now being provided jobs in the state only on the basis of merit, he claimed.

“During the previous regimes, one had to resort to the parchi-kharchi system to get government jobs, but our government has ended that system. Earlier, the officers used to recommend jobs as per their wish, but that system was abolished. We started Mission Merit by ending the practice of holding interviews for recruitments. Now government recruitments are done only on the basis of merit,” he added.

The CM said, “After coming to power, we laid emphasis on e-governance to check corruption. Today, the financial benefits are directly transferred into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. This has brought transparency in the system, besides eliminating middlemen. As a result, the state government has saved Rs 1,200 crore by curbing corruption.”
