GJUST organises workshop in Hisar

Hisar: Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar organised a workshop and exhibition under the aegis of Haryana State Higher Education Council and Swadeshi Swavalamban Trust on the topic 'Aatmnirbhar Haryana aur Rojgar Srijan'. Satish Kumar, national co-organiser, Swadeshi Jagran Manch was the keynote speaker of the programme organised at Ch Ranbir Singh Auditorium. Prof BK Kuthiala, Chairman, Haryana State Higher Education Council was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof Baldev Raj Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor presided over the function. Satish Kumar said India was going to be a leader of the world by its largest youngest population with the best DNA. Indian youth is using its potential and earning also while learning. He said human resources wre the best assets of any nation.

Krishi Mela on Sept 8-9 at HAU

Hisar: Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (HAU) will organise a two-day Krishi Mela for rabi crops on September 8 and 9 on the campus. Vice-Chancellor Prof BK Kamboj said the university would honour one progressive farmer from each of the districts for their contribution in advancement of farming. Dr Trilochan Mohapatra is an Indian biotechnologist, geneticist, Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education and the Director-General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, will be the chief guest at the Krishi Mela. Water conservation will be the theme of the Krishi Mela, which is being organised on the campus after a gap of two years.

Varsity Exam Results announced

Hisar: Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar has declared the results of examinations conducted by the university, recently. The controller of examination Prof Yashpal Singhla said that the result was available on the website of the university.

Blood donation mela

Yamunanagar: Mukand Lal Public School, Sarojini Colony, Yamunanagar organised the seventh blood donation mela to commemorate the birth anniversary of Seth Jai Parkash. As many as 120 units of blood were collected at the camp. Dr Divjot Singh, PGI, Chandigarh, Dr Ramesh Kumar, manager of Mukand Institutions and Shashi Bathla, director of the school started the programme with lightning of the lamp. Dr Mamta Verma, principal said blood donation was the biggest and incomparable donation and there was no substitute for human blood.

National Nutrition Week

Ambala: Delhi Public School, Ambala observed National Nutrition Week from September 1 to 7 on the theme "Feeding smart right from start." Nutrition Week is meant to raise public awareness on the importance of making healthy food choices and developing healthy eating, exercise, and lifestyle habits. Throughout the week, the students were involved in a variety of activities to raise awareness on nutritional and healthy eating habits.
