Girl’s body found in bag in Gurugram

In a shocking incident, the body of around 4-year-old girl was found stuffed in a bag near the Kisan Bhawan building in the roadside bushes on the service lane of the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. The police kept the body in the mortuary and postmortem will be conducted tomorrow. An FIR has been registered against the unidentified accused at the Shivaji Nagar police station, but the body has not yet been identified.

The police said a passerby, Hemant, spotted the bag which gave out foul smell and when he opened the bag he found the body and informed the police. The police along with the forensic team and dog squad reached the spot and found a minor girl’s body stuffed in the bag. “The body was decomposing and appeared to be a day or two old. We are exploring the CCTV footages to identify the accused,” said Deepak Saharan, DCP, west. — OC
