Five Rajasthan residents returning from Haridwar die in road accident in Haryana; 12 others injured

Rewari, May 18

Five persons, including two women, of a family were killed and 12 others injured when a cruiser vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a stationed truck on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway near Audhi village here in the wee hours on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Malu Ram, Mahender Kumar, Sugna, Aashish and Bhori Devi, belonged to Samaud village in Jaipur (Rajasthan). Some of the injured have been admitted to Community Health Center in Bawal town and others have been referred to nearby hospitals following their critical condition.

The mishap took place when Malu Ram and his family members and relatives were returning to their village after immersing ashes of his father at Haridwar (Uttrakhand). The impact of the accident was so horrible that the cruiser lost its roof. On getting information, Bawal Police reached the spot and took the injured to the healthcare center.
