Farmers thank Haryana CM for hike in cane MSP

Chandigarh, September 11

To express gratitude to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for announcing the highest Minimum Support Price (MSP) of sugarcane in the country and the decision of the Centre to enhance the MSP of six rabi crops, several farmers reached Chandigarh today.

Farmers honoured the CM by presenting bouquets made from sugarcane plants and millets. They also offered sweets to him and BJP state president Om Prakash Dhankar.

Khattar said the state had increased the price of sugarcane earlier as well and would do the same again next year to ensure that farmers did not face losses. — TNS
