Strategy to counter new Bill tomorrow
The SKM has convened a convention in Rohtak on April 2 to deliberate on the strategy to counter the Haryana Recovery of Damages to Property During Disturbance to Public Order Bill, 2021
Representatives of various trade unions, employee organisations, lawyers, traders, women and youth associations will participate in the convention
SKM state unit leaders Inderjit Singh, Prem Singh Gahlawat, Jai Karan Dalal and Sumit termed the Bill as “a colonial-style draconian step taken to stifle democracy”
“Besides farmers, women, unemployed people, labourers and all those who have been supporting the agitation will also join the Parliament march in a large number,” said Charuni.
The march would be held peacefully and no vehicle would be allowed. Special care would be taken that what happened on January 26 was not repeated.
“A committee would be formed to plan the march and control the protesters if the police take action against them,” said Charuni.
Besides, the SKM would mark FCI Bachao Diwas on April 5 and gherao FCI offices in all districts in the country from 11 am to 5 pm.
