Faridabad doctor dies of Covid

Faridabad, November 15

Gynaecologist Dr Archana Bhatia (57), who ran a private clinic in Sector 7 here, has died of Covid. She was under treatment at a Gurugram hospital.

She had tested positive two weeks ago and was hospitalised immediately. She passed away on Friday last week, according to the district unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

Her husband, Dr Pankaj Bhatia, had also tested Covid-positive last month, but he recovered.

8 more deaths; 1,957 cases

Chandigarh: With 1,957 cases, the state tally stood at 1,99,874 on Sunday. Meanwhile, with eight more deaths, the toll reached 2019. Faridabad reported the maximum cases (643), followed by Gurugram (515), Hisar (163), Sonepat (136) and Rohtak (92). — TNS
