Dr Chauhan appointed University of Health Sciences Dean, Academic Affairs

Dr Ashok Chauhan, Senior Professor in radiation oncology and Dean, faculty of medicine and allied departments, has been appointed as Dean, Academic Affairs, Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. Earlier, he has served as the Medical Superintendent at the PGIMS, Rohtak, for about six years, the longest tenure of any person on the position so far. “Streamlining the NEET-UG and NEET-PG admissions and bringing a needed improvement in academic activities of the affiliated medical institutes will be my priorities,” said Chauhan after assuming the charge of his office. Chauhan had completed his graduation and post graduation from the PGIMS, Rohtak. He was the first postgraduate student of radiation oncology. He has also served at other prestigious posts in the PGIMS. With his vast experience the academic activities are set to serve the students in more efficient way, said a UHS faculty. —
