Black fungus drug should be readily available

Show comments

After the Covid-19 has spread its tentacles in Haryana villages, now a new disease called black fungus has created a new problem in the state. Declaring black fungus as an epidemic will not be enough, but the need of the hour is to find out how people falling prey to the disease can be protected. It is good that in view of the shortage of black fungus drug, a few more companies have been approved for its production, but it should also be ensured that the drug is available immediately in every part of the state.

Old Kaithal-Ambala highway needs repair

AThe dilapidated bridge over Kaithal drain on the old Kaithal-Ambala road highway passing through this town, constructed about five decades ago, has outlived its life and is in a very bad shape. It is congested and causes great inconvenience to road users and resulting fatal accidents frequently. Neither the Haryana PWD Department nor local public representatives have cared to get the existing road and bridge widened despite steep increase in the number of vehicles moving on this road. The 9-km stretch of the old highway from Kaithal town to the new national highway touching Delhi Public School should be immediately widened and a new wide bridge constructed on the Kaithal drain without delay.
