Hisar, February 9

Former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the BJP-JJP government only knew how to complicate things and divert people’s attention.

Addressing a Jan Akrosh rally in Charkhi Dadri town today, Hooda attacked the state government alleging that Haryana has become number one in unemployment, crime, inflation, drugs and the plight of sports players.

“The Parivar Pehchan Patra, Property ID, Meri Fasal Mera Byora are hassling people. The only work of this government is to cut the ration of the poor and the pension of the elderly,” he added. Referring to the poor law and order situation in Haryana, he said proper law and order was the first prerequisite for development. He said he would ensure that there were no criminals in Haryana just like he drove away all of them from Haryana when he first came to power in 2005. “We will restore law and order when we get the chance to form the government in the state,” he said.

Talking about the farmers, Hooda said the farmers did not get the MSP of millet. “Those who talked about doubling the farmer’s income by 2022, have doubled the input costs. The prices of fertilisers and pesticides have increased. Moreover, the rate of fertiliser was also increased and the weight was also reduced,” he said.

He said if they came to power, the Congress government would bring Haryana back to its former glory as the number one state in the country.

Hooda said when the Congress government would come to power in Haryana, an old age pension of Rs 6000 per month would be given to the elderly. “LPG cylinders will be given to women for Rs 500. We will correct the VAT increase by the government on diesel and petrol so that farmers get diesel at the right price and people get relief from inflation. Every family will be given 300 units of electricity free of cost,” he promised. MP Deepender Hooda said “BJP is experts in plotting and conspiracies. We will have to be vigilant in the Lok Sabha elections and then in the Legislative Assembly elections,” he said.
