Another Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang member arrested in Sonepat

The special task force (STF) nabbed an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang from an outer road of Sector 15 here last night.

Two pistols and eight cartridges were seized from his possession, besides a cartridge of an AK-47 rifle.

The accused has been identified as Praveen (alias PK) of Kulasi village in Bhadurgarh of Jhajjar district. He was produced in a local court that remanded him in police custody for two days.

Sandeep Kumar, DSP, STF, said they had a tip-off about Praveen’s presence near Rajeev Colony here. The STF team reached the spot and apprehended him.

Associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Praveen worked on the directions of Goldy Brar from Canada, the DSP said. Praveen arranged shelter for sharpshooters of the gang, besides helping them escape from the police net, he added.

He was in regular touch with Goldy Brar. The STF had taken his mobile phone into its custody to investigate the matter.
