Ambala, January 22

Amid Ram Temple celebrations, Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij today remembered former VHP president Ashok Singhal and senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani for their efforts and contributions.

BJP state chief and Kurukshetra MP Nayab Singh Saini and Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha flagged off a bike rally in which hundreds of youths chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ covered the city area before the rally concluded at Dakshin Mukhi Hanuman Temple.

Vij, on his social media account on X, wrote “Today when the consecration ceremony is taking place, it has the contribution of numerous people, but the efforts of former Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) President Ashok Singhal and BJP leader Lal Krishan Advani can’t be appreciated enough.”

Meanwhile, a number of events were organised by political leaders, residents and religious organisations to mark the day in Ambala and Kurukshetra. Big screens were installed at various locations to livestream the event held in Ayodhya.

A havan was also organised at District jail Kurukshetra in which the inmates and the jail officials offered prayers.
