Hisar, January 12

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala today said that air services would start from the Hisar airport to various cities of the country by April this year.

Interacting with mediapersons, he said two dedicated Alliance Air planes would start flights between Hisar and Ambala. The work related to the air traffic control tower, drum construction on both sides of the runway and extension work of the terminal building would also be completed soon, he added.

Earlier, he attended an event at Umang-2024 (Youth festival for CA students), held at Chaudhary Charan Singh Auditorium at Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, on Friday. He urged them to play a crucial role in the progress of the country.

Chautala said chartered accountants were the backbone of the economy. “The entire framework of the central goods and services tax (GST) system has been prepared by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). At present, Haryana leads in GST collections in the country,” he said.
