Jhajjar, November 24

Activists of various social organisations on Tuesday burnt the effigy of CM Manohar Lal Khattar at Rao Tula Ram Chowk here in protest against the detention of farmers’ leaders by the police ahead of the Delhi march against three farm laws on Thursday.

The organisations included CITU, Midday Meal Workers’ Association and Nagar Palika Karamchari Sangh. The protesters raised slogans against the BJP government. They said the government could not stop them from marching towards Delhi on November 26 by arresting the farm leaders. — TNS
