Jhajjar, January 19

Expressing solidarity with Independent MLA from Meham Balraj Kundu, INLD MLA Abhay Singh Chautala said allegations of multi-crore scam levelled by Kundu against former Cooperative Minister Manish Grover were serious in nature. Hence, these should be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Abhay Chautala was interacting with mediapersons after attending a meeting of the party’s state national and executive committee office-bearers in Bahadurgarh town here on Sunday.

He also put the government in the dock for the amount deducted in the name of high moisture in paddy produce while making payment to paddy growers.

He claimed it was a scam perpetrated in the name of high moisture. Hence, it should also be investigated by the state government. The issue would be raised in the Vidhan Sabha to mount pressure on the government for a CBI probe, he added.

Abhay accused the government and police of “patronising” those indulging in illegal drug trade. He said Haryana had become number one in terms of death due to narcotic drugs.
