Rs 3.89L looted at gunpoint in Palwal

Two youths allegedly looted a trader of Rs 3.89 lakh at gunpoint in Palwal on Wednesday.

The victim, Murtilingham, a resident of Yadatri district in Telangana, was called to a spot by some persons on the pretext of striking a deal regarding the supply of cotton thread.

Murtilingham was abducted by two youths from Hassanur Chowk in Hodal on July 27 as soon as he reached the spot.

In his complaint, he told the police that he had been called by some persons in connection with the supply of raw material. “I had Rs 2 lakh with me at the time. Two youths snatched the money from me. They also forced me to transfer Rs 1.89 lakh to their account on the spot,” he alleged.

The accused managed to flee. The police have launched a probe.
