The data indicates that the campaign launched by the state government against drugs seems to have yielded the desired results as in just six months as the Karnal police are approaching closer to the achievements of last year.

As per the sources in the police, drug peddlers arrested in the past have brought narcotics in the state mainly from Odhisa and Jharkhand.

Superintendent of Police Ganga Ram Punia said they had been making efforts for a complete curb on peddling with raids were being conducted at all suspected places.

“Our teams are keeping a vigil on the supply of drugs. We have increased vigil on borders of the district to check drug peddling,” the SP added.
