Faridabad, May 9
Nineteen NGOs have registered themselves with the portal made public by the state government for the supply of oxygen to Covid-19 patients at their doorstep in the district so far.
The home delivery system here is expected to be functional from Monday.
“Though several of the NGOs here have applied and got registered on the portal ‘oxygenhry.in’, Vikas Kumar, secretary, District Red Cross Society, said nearly 15 NGOs were likely to get connected soon, stating that the work of registration had been stuck temporarily due to some technical glitch this morning. He, however, claimed that the delivery of oxygen cylinders to the needy was expected to be functional from Monday. Haryana CM had recently directed the officials to start home delivery of oxygen to patients.
He said while the NGOs registered with the portal would be allotted the name and address of the applicants, the latter would have to submit and upload the documents, including the Covid report, doctor’s prescription, Aadhaar card number and address at the website (portal). The applicants will receive a message as soon as their details are uploaded and the form is filled, he said, adding that the supply would be coordinated by a committee under the direct supervision of the district administration. — TNS
