15 taken ill after drinking butter milk in Nuh

Fifteen persons, including a child, of a family in Nuh’s Buraka village have been admitted to a hospital as their medical condition deteriorated after drinking poisonous butter milk on Friday.

Abid Hussain, a local resident, said on Friday at 9pm, three brothers Jamil Khan (50), Nisar (45) and Shahid (41) and their family members started complaining of vomiting and diarrhea hours after drinking butter milk. Seven of them, including the child, became unconscious.

Doctors at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Medical College in Nalhar today said medical condition of all of them was stable.

Dr Mukesh Kumar, director of the medical college, said: “They fell ill due to food poisoning after drinking milk products. Now, all of them have been shifted in ward from emergency. They will be discharged soon.”
