Nearly 1,200 voters have been found aged over 100 years in the latest Gurugram electoral roll, prompting the district authorities to launch a verification drive.

Gurugram has been judged as the best district for electoral practices
Thirteen out of them are said to be aged 120 years, 1,134 voters were aged between 100 and 109 years and 57 between 110 and 119 years. The startling revelation was made in the voter list made public by the local administration recently.
Taking notice of the figures, the administration has ordered a review of these 1,200-odd voters.

It may be noted that the verified age of the oldest man ever was 116 years and 54 days, of Japan’s Jiroemon Kimura (1897–2013).
Gurugram has recently been judged as the best district for electoral practices.
At present, the total number of voters in the district is 1384,625, of which 729,168 are male voters and 655,457 are women voters. There are 24,637 voters aged 18 to 19 years, 244,832 aged 20 to 29 years and 330,960 aged 30 to 39 years.
The total number of voters in Pataudi assembly constituency is 245,787, of which 128,390 male voters 117,397 women voters.
Similarly, the number of voters in Badshahpur assembly constituency is 462,765 in which 244,499 are males and 218,266 females. Badshahpur is the largest assembly constituency of the district in terms of number of voters.
The total number of voters in Gurugram assembly constituency is 405,814, of which 212,363 are male voters and 193,451 female voters.
