Students of Guru Nanak Public School (junior wing), Sector 36 enjoyed a day with their favourite cartoon characters. Tiny tots from the pre-primary and primary sections made merry with cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse and Doremon. Their cheerful faces were a sight to behold. Principal Gurnam Kaur Grewal pressed upon the significance of having such activities for the overall wellbeing of kids.

AKSIPS-65, Mohali

Students of Class XI and Class IX organised ‘Milestones: A farewell cum good luck party’ for Class X and Rukhsat for Class XII students. Class X and XII were given warm welcome and presented with badges. The event started with inspirational and motivational words by AKSIPS Group of Schools Executive Director Jasdeep Kalra. Class X and XII students were presented with titles and good luck cards. Winners of various titles were felicitated by presenting sashes, bouquets and prizes. The colourful and vibrant bhangra was an icing on the cake and was applauded by all.

Carmel Convent, Chandigarh

Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, organised a two-day photography workshop. The speaker was Sayansh Jindal, an expert in light painting photography. The workshop was attended by students of Classes VII to IX, where they got hands-on experience on using professional cameras and various light painting tools. Principal Sister Supreeta encouraged the students to build interest in fields such as photography.

KB DAV, Chandigarh

Students participated in Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan-2019 organised by Vigyan Prasar, in association with the NCERT, in which 3,000 students from reputed schools participated. As many as 123 students were shortlisted for attending a state-level camp and 17 were from KB DAV.

AKSIPS-41, Chandigarh

The Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) organised a general quiz on the premises of the Delhi Doordarshan Studies. Two students of AKSIPS-41 brought laurels to the school by bagging the all-India third position. Both students have been awarded Rs 10,000 and a laptop each.

Jainendra Public, Panchkula

Sports star Bhuvnesh from Jainendra Public School, Panchkula, bagged the silver medal in the Taekwondo National Tournament that was hosted in Kolkatta. tns
