Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri lends support to small scale businesses

Show comments

Amid the pandemic, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has started an initiative to promote a slew of small businesses that are facing the wrath of Covid-19, and highlight the micro business on his social media. The Kashmir Files director took to Twitter on Wednesday and wrote, “I will be promoting Indian small businesses on my Instagram handle soon along with like-minded celebs and popular platforms. If you want your products to reach a large base of consumers, please DM me on my Instagram account. This is our initiative to help local enterprises.”

When asked about the initiative, he said, “I researched and found out that after the lockdowns, big tech and large companies became richer by billions of dollars while small, local enterprises are on the verge of shutting down. It seems nobody cares for them whereas India’s future lies in MSME and local enterprise. I can’t fund them but at least I can use my huge reach and influence to help create awareness about them so that they can at least survive.”
