Chandigarh, January 15

A Mumbai city court on Friday had rejected an application to pass an interim order in favor of actor Salman Khan, who has sued his neighbour for allegedly defaming him. Actor has filed a lawsuit against Ketan Kakkad, who owns land in Panvel near his farmhouse.

Ketan is alleged to have spoken against the actor during an interview with a YouTube channel.

Judge Anil H Laddhad has procrastinated the hearing and Ketan has been asked to file his reply on January 21.

Lawyers representing Khan sought an interim order restraining Ketan from making any further statement against actor.

But Ketans’ lawyers opposed Khans application and have sought more time to go through entire suit.

According to Khan's suit, Kakkad made slanderous comments against the actor while speaking to a YouTuber. Two other people who participated in the show have also been named as respondents.

Khan wants a permanent order to restrain Ketan from posting any derogatory remark about him and his farmhouse.
