Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s Grammy 2020 outfit left everyone talking. Priyanka made an appearance at the award show in the Ralph & Russo gown on January 26.

The neckline that plunged beneath her navel triggered a serious discussion on the internet—but she would not take a fashion risk for an award show, revealed Priyanka, during an interview with foreign media.

Priyanka clarified that the designers used a particular detail that helped her to avoid a wardrobe malfunction at the ceremony.

During her interview with US Weekly, Priyanka said that the detail was a piece of fabric that was concealed beneath the dress.

"Ralph & Russo, whenever they make couture for me or custom outfits for me, they always do them fitted to my body, keeping these things in mind," Priyanka told US Weekly.

"So as much as people might think it would be hard to manage, they found this incredible tulle the same colour as my skin tone and sort of held the dress together with that. So you can't even see it in the pictures but there was no way it would have happened if they didn't have that. It was like a netting," Priyanka added.

The 37-year-old actress doesn't like wardrobe malfunctions and made sure before stepping out in her Grammys outfit that she was "super secure".

"When I decide to wear an outfit, I'm not someone who's really nervous because when I walk out of the door, I'm very secure. I don't leave unless I'm super secure. I don't like wardrobe malfunctions! Nobody does," Priyanka said.

Priyanka Chopra's floor-length gown was embellished with tassels and diamonds. She attended the ceremony with her husband Nick Jonas.
