Genelia D’Souza opens up on why she frowned when Riteish Deshmukh and Preity Zinta met

When Riteish Deshmukh and Preity Zinta met at the IIFA Awards 2019, Genelia’s priceless reaction to their meeting became the talk of the town. In the video that went viral, she can be seen frowning and making faces as her husband Riteish and actress Preity exchange greetings.

Recently, on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show ‘Pinch’, Genelia finally revealed the reason behind such a reaction to Riteish and Preity’s meeting. According to NDTV, she said, "The actual story is that after a long time, I was attending an award function. I was all dressed up and wore high heels, thinking that I would be okay but we were meeting so many people, we were having conversations, and my feet were killing me. So Preity and Ritesh were having a conversation and unfortunately, the cameraman captured my reaction."

The actress and mother of two didn’t take it to heart; rather she used the same video and created a fun version of what happened next. You can watch the viral video here and have a good laugh:

Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh debuted together in 2003 movie ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’. They have co-starred in several films including ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’ and ‘Masti’. The two dated for eight years before they got married in 2012. They have two sons Riaan and Rahyl. And they recently launched a new business that was announced by Shah Rukh Khan. On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh will be making his digital debut on Netflix with ‘Plan A Plan B’ directed by Shashanka Ghosh. The film also features ‘Baahubali’ actress Tamannaah Bhatia.
