Fantasy-comedy Annabelle Sethupathi set for a direct-to-OTT release

Show comments

Multi-lingual fantasy-comedy Annabelle Sethupathi is all set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on September 17. The film, which stars Taapsee Pannu and Vijay Sethupathi, will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The narrative intertwines humour and emotion, thereby making it a family entertainer. While Vijay essays the role of a romantic king, Taapsee Pannu will be seen in dual role — as a queen and modern-day burglar!

Director Deepak Sundarrajan said, “Annabelle Sethupathi is a truly special story. And the supremely talented cast, including Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu, brought the script to life. These actors brought in their brilliant craft and lifted the interesting material on the page. This isn’t just a fantasy-comedy, it is rich and promises a ride of emotions—laughter, tears, emotion, drama, thrill, fear and love—which makes it the biggest family entertainer. I am thrilled that people will be able to enjoy Annabelle Sethupathi from the comfort of their homes, as it makes a grand premiere on OTT.”
