How does it feel to be back with a new season of Imagine That?

It feels exciting and comfortable at the same time, because it’s like homecoming. It feels a sense of validation because even after 27 years I continue to bring some value to my relationship with Disney.

You and your co-host Simran Kumar Puri share quite a chemistry on screen. How has it been working together?

I think actions speak louder than words. The chemistry between us is incredible. It’s a pleasure to work with him. He is honest and is like a breath of fresh air. I’m thankful that I have someone like Simran to co-host such an iconic show.

What’s different about this season?

Season three has been taken to the next level. People from the audience can reach out to us through our social media handle and we have a fair process of selecting these people so that they can be a part of our show where they do DIY’s with Simran & I. We also have a robot which interacts with us.

As a parent, how do you make your young daughter understand the concept of DIY?

By showing her Imagine That Season 2 & 3. She comes to the sets of Imagine That and she’s really enamoured by everything.

How do you think upcycling can be made popular?

Upcycling is a popular trend and I want to give the credit to Imagine That. Recycling has been one of our principles right from the beginning. The second season focused on it completely and created a culture. I feel season three is going to strengthen it further.

You have had a close association with Disney Channel in the past. How has been your journey with them?

I’m full of gratitude and I say it with humility that I have been associated with Disney Channel for a long time.

Can you tell us about your future projects?

Along with this show, I’m also excited about my directorial debut. I am directing a film which will be releasing very soon.
